All the Announcements from PlayStation State of Play February 2023

The first State of Play of the year is officially done and just in case you missed it we've gathered all the announcements and trailers for you! After the successful launch of the PSVR2 earlier this week Sony went heavy with the PSVR2 content during their State of Play live stream by kicking off the show with 5 back-to-back trailers for games coming to the virtual reality console this year. Along with the PSVR2 game announcements the live stream included a number of third-party games and ended off with an extended view of the upcoming game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

The Foglands -2023

Escape the fog in this virtual reality "atmospheric roguelike adventure" as you explore the ruins of the past to uncover old secrets and unravel the mysterious tale of the fog and the creature that has awoken within.

Green Hell VR

Survive the Amazon and what lurks inside as you gather materials, scavenge for food and upgrade your camp to conquer the jungle in this open world VR ultra realistic survival game where your decisions are a matter of life or death.

Synapse

Dive into the future of VR gaming with Synapse - "combining brutal firepower, expressive 1:1 telekinesis and an iconic art style" this game is set to transform gameplay for the next generation of virtual reality gaming, wielding your telekinetic powers has been made to feel as natural as possible and a key element with this fighting style is the inclusion of eye-tracking enhanced aiming and when paired with motion controls the powers become a full-body experience.

Journey to Foundation

80 years on from its release Isaac Asimov's Foundation book series is being welcomed into the world of virtual reality - head into the "epic journey through an area of space called the Periphery" as you play as Ward and your job is to investigate the civil unrest at the edge of the Galactic Empire.

Before Your Eyes

Use your real life blinks to explore this first person narrative adventure as you begin your journey after your death aboard the ship of a mythical Ferryman tasked with shepherding souls into the afterlife.

Destiny 2 Lightfall

The Witness and its newest Disciple are here. Fight to battle through and reveal the hidden threads that bind us as you uncover the power to unravel them and the mastery to weave them anew.

Tchia

Climb, glide, swim and sail your boat around this tropical open-world adventure, with the power to soul jump Tchia's special gift allows you to take control of any animal or object you can find.

PlayStation Plus

The live stream revealed what games are coming to PlayStation Plus this month, people who use the subscription service can expect games such as Battlefield 2042, Minecraft Dungeons and CodeVein and are available for download from 7th March until 3rd April.

Goodbye Volcano High

Guide Fang through their final year of high school in this branching narrative game with stunning hand-drawn art and character animations.

Naruto Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of Naruto's anime debut with even more characters to choose from on top of the 124 already playable ninjas from Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto.

Baldur's Gate 3

Play solo or in a team as after over 20 years it's time to dive into the third installment of Baldur's Gate and immerse yourself into the rich Dungeons & Dragons experience.

Wayfinder

A hostile force has taken over and it's down to you and your friends to harness the power of a Wayfinder to "Control the Chaos" and shape your adventure, after all Wayfinders are stronger together.

Street Fighter 6

Street Fighter is back with its 6th installment with some familiar faces and three distinct game modes, including World Tour, Fighting Ground and Battle Hub.

Resident Evil 4

Six years on from the events of the biological disaster in Raccoon City it's time to rejoin Leon S Kennedy in his mission to save the kidnapped daughter of the President, only for the locals of the secluded village where she's being kept to have something terribly wrong with them.

Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League Extended Gameplay Trailer

Rocksteady, the creators of the acclaimed Batman: Arkham series, are back with another DC character inspired game but this is no story of heroes. Play from a roster of iconic DC characters including Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark as you form the Suicide Squad to take on the Justice League after an invading Alien force arrives on Earth and corrupts our heroes.
